Exploring Intersectionality and Allyship Across the LGBTQ+ Community – Tuesday 28 June 2022

We are all in this together and we need to help those within our community feel suported and heard in order to achieve equality for all.

Intersectionality can refer to the idea that there are different aspects to a person’s identity that make them who they are. While this individuality is something to be embraced and celebrated – sometimes, intersecting identities can result in increased discrimination, disadvantage or oppression.

We are delighted to be joined by Ailbhe Smyth (academic and activist), Jeanne McDonagh (CEO – Open Doors Initiative) and Dr Sean Henry (TUD) to explore topics of intersectionality relating to the LGBTQ+ community. it is through understanding the diverse make-up of our community that we can help those within the community feel supported and heard in order to achieve equality for all.

Kindly hosted and sponsored by Matheson

Attendance at the event is free, but we would encourage you to please make a minimum donation of €5 per attendee via our iDonate page to support the important work of our chosen LGBT+ organisations.
